



Donation of cash assistance for conducting rescue operations and rehabilitation works at flood hit areas due to Typhoon Yagi took place the meeting hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
The cash donation was contributed by Venerable SitaguSayadaw Abhidhajamaharatthaguru Dr. AshinNyanissara and well-wishers. The ceremony was attended by Sayadaws, Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Vice-Senior General Soe Win in his capacity as Chairman of National Disaster Management Committee, Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, donors and concerned officials.
Next, the video clip of conducting rescue operations in flood-hit areas and the Ministry’s generous donations for flood hit monasteries and nunneries within Nay Pyi Taw Council Area was screened. Then, the attendees received the five precepts from Sayadaws.
It was followed by provision of 10,000 USD cash donation by Venerable SitaguSayadaw and 100 million kyats cash donation from well-wishers and Chairman of the National Disaster Management Committee, Vice Chairman of SAC accepted.
Subsequently, Vice Chairman of SAC returned the certificates of honour. Next, Vice Chairman of SAC and concerned officials donated offertories to the Venerable SitaguSayadaw and members of Sangha. After that, SAC Vice Chairman supplicated the current rescue operations, rehabilitation processes and contribution of donation items in flood hit areas to Venerable SitaguSayadaw.
Then, the congregation led by SAC Vice Chairman took the sermon delivered by SitaguSayadaw and shared the merits gains expressing the compassion of the well-wishers from home and abroad and dedicating to the people passed away during the disaster of flood and landslips.
