






It’s reported that a member of the State Administration Council Khun San Lwin accompanied by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung and officials visited monastery in San Phuu Village in Hopone Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone and met with the flood affected people on 23th September.
First, the congregation led by the SAC member observed five precepts administered by the presiding Sayaaw of Naung Taung Parahita Tat-U monastery of Hopone Township and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha. Next, the SAC member and Chief Minister offered the offertories to the Sangha and took the Ovadakatha given by the Sayadaw.
When the SAC member gave words of comfort to the flood affected people, he said the need to provide assistance to the people suffered casualties and loss of homes, implement rehabilitations for them, provide convenience of food for the people sheltered at the flood relief camps, prioritize the substitution of Bailey in places of destroyed bridges for the convenience of transportation and goods flow, clean tasks in the inundated wards and rehabilitation works etc.
Next, the Shan State Chief Minister gave the words of encouragement for the flood affected people and offered to provide assistances for the rehabilitation works, convenience for food, transportation and agricultural matters by coordinating with the related departments. Consequently, SAC member and Chief Minister provided cash assistance of 15 million each for the Hti Ta Khu-Naung Day, Lwe Maw, Loilin Township, Khaung Nwet-Inn Taw regions through Naung Taung Parahita Tat-U monastery Sayadaw and accepted 3 million Kyats of cash donation donated by U Zaw Win and Daw Nway Nway Win family.
After offering day meal to the members of Sangha, SAC member and Chief Minister heard the clarification of U Khun Ye Htwe who is the chairman of Administrative Body of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, gave necessary instruction and oversaw the health service given by the personnel of the Department of Health to the flood affected people at the San Phuu monastery.
It’s reported that there are 30 villages, 1092 houses, 1095 households and 4497 population in San Phuu Village-Tract and 261 house totally destroyed, 336 houses partly damaged and 26 people died due to the heavy rain on 11th September.
After that, SAC member, Chief Minister and officials met with the flood affected people at Han Lwe monastery in Kone Kyaing Village-tract, gave words of encouragement provided foodstuff and 15 million of cash assistance, accepted cash donation of 5 million Kyats donated by PNO Secretary General Khun Thein Pe, distributed foodstuff to the children and viewed the Namt Ta Phet Creek which was flooded.
