Anura Kumara Dissanayake sworn in as President of Sri Lanka

Anura Kumara Dissanayake has been sworn in as the 9th Executive of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. 

He was ceremonially sworn in as the country’s new President before the Chief Justice Jayantha at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo on Monday. After taking oath as the new President in a simple ceremony, he delivered a brief statement emphasizing his commitment to the nation and the citizens of Sri Lanka.
