Flood Warning: DMH issues alert for flood in Hpa-An, Taungoo and Madauk

According to the 7:30 am observation on Friday, the water level of Thanlwin River at Hpaan has exceeded more than foot above its danger level.

It may fall from the present water level about 2 inches within the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level. Likewise, the water level of Sittoung River at Toungoo has exceeded by more than 3% feet above its danger level. It may fall from the present water level about foot within the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level.

In Madauk, the water level of Sittoung River has exceeded more than 5 feet above its danger level. It may continue to rise from the present water level about 3 inches within the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level. Those who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Hpaan, Taungoo and Madauk Townships are advised to stay away from the flood-prone areas.
