Relief Measures: MOHA Union Minister tours in Taungoo

Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt. Gen Yar Pyae in his capacity as Vice Chairman (2) of the Natural Disaster Management Committee accompanied by concerned officials on Thursday comforted the flood victims in Taungoo District.

At the Basic Education Post Primary School in Padauksan village of Yedashe Township, the Union Minister and party oversaw the collective cleaning tasks conducted by Tatmadawmen, Police force, Fire Brigade members and volunteers and encouraged them.

After providing cash of honour to the principal and volunteers, the Union Minister gave necessary instruction. Next, the Union Minister and party visited temporary relief camp opened at Boedawkone Monastery where they made cash donation to Patron Sayadaw and submitted religious affairs. There the Union Minister and party provided rice, edible oil, eggs and instant noodle for 178 flood victims.

At the Flood Control Office opened at SasanaHitakari Beikman, the Union Minister heard the reports by Bago Region Chief Minister and gave necessary instructions. Then, the donation of 1,000 rice bags and 67 million kyats contributed by the well-wishers were provided for the flood victims.

At the temporary relief camps opened at No. 1 Post Primary School in Oakgyut  and Shwegugyi Pagoda in No. 1 ward, the Union Minister and party provided foodstuff to flood victims.

Then, the Union Minister met with the departmental officials at the meeting hall of Bago Region Government Office and gave necessary instructions.

The Union Minister wrapped up his tour after inspecting sewing training course conducted for family members of police force under the arrangement of Bago Region Government and provided cash assistance to the coaches, trainees and family members of police force.
