34th Annual Meeting of Nepal Mountaineers Held At Kathmandu

Nepal Mountaineering Association has requested its government to open 57 more peaks for climbers at the 34th annual general meeting of the Nepal Mountaineering Association in Kathmandu. There are more than 2,000 mountain peaks in Nepal with 8 mountains which are 8,000 meters high.

Out of the total high mountains, only 405 are open for climbers. On the issue of increased air accidents in Nepal, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation said that the government will take all measures to improve safety and enhance the credibility of the aviation sector.
