






Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win presided over a meeting with Region/State Department heads of Public Health and Medical Services and medical superintendents at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 18th September.
At the meeting, the Union Minister appreciated the health care personnel who are making exerted efforts in rescue measures and rehabilitation tasks at the flood affected areas and clarified the purpose of the meeting.
Then, the Union Minister highlighted the severe climate changes across the world stressing to make precaution measures in advance to reduce loss and damages within the nation. He also emphasized on prevention of communicable diseases including waterborne diseases and urged for water chlorination at schools, offices of departments, training centers, monasteries and IDP camps.
In rendering health care services, the Union Minister stressed the sufficient health care assistances, medicines and medical equipment, safety of the service personnel and the advanced medical equipment to ensure continuous health care services in the emergency situations.
The Union Minister also called for systematic precaution measures in timely manners based on the experiences gained from the previous events ensuring the efficient disaster responses.
Next, the attendees presented reports on current work implementations and tasks to be carried out respectively. Then, the Deputy Minister and Directors General supplemented the reports and fulfilled the requirements.
