Coordination meeting: Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman attended the meeting

A work coordination meeting for natural disaster mitigation and rehabilitation activities was held at the Nay Pyi Taw Council office on September 16. It was attended by Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Disaster Management Committee U Than Tun Oo, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, together with various departmental personnel.

Speaking at the meeting, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman emphasized the importance of adhering to the disaster management committees’ action plan.

He outlined key priorities, including ensuring an uninterrupted supply of food and water for flood-affected victims, efficiently coordinating search and rescue operations, accelerating restoration efforts and securing accurate damage assessments. Additionally, he stressed the need for providing health care, implementing preventive measures and supplying drinking water for those returning to their homes.

Following the meeting, the relevant officials reported on their progress and ongoing conditions as per the respective sectors. The Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman then coordinated the needs.
