Sports Sector: China donates provisions for four sports federations

Commemorating the friendship between Myanmar and China, provisions were donated for development of sports sector. Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan attened the ceremony held at the National Sports Stadium (1) in Thuwunna on Friday.

Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms. Ma Jia explained the purpose of the donation. Union Minister U Min Thein Zan expressed appreciation for the assistance, and requested the provisions for renovation of Aung San Stadium and the upcoming National Sports Festival.

China is dedicating its contribution for development of sports sector, providing sports gears and training instructors. China also assisted for successful opening and closing ceremonies of 27th SEA Games and renovation of National Sports Stadium (1) (Thuwunna).

This time, provisions were made for training process of four sports federations. The 50,000 yuan  each cash assistance were provided for Myanmar Rowing Federation, Myanmar Football Federation, Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation and Myanmar Wushu Federation.
