Health Care Services: Rendering treatment to the flood-hit people

On 13th September, Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win accompanied by concerned officials inspected health care services rendering at the flood relief camps within Nay Pyi Taw Council area.

First, the Union Minister and party oversaw the cleaning activities carried out at Tatkone People’s Hospital and inspected the flood affected patient wards, operation rooms and hospital equipment and stressed on water and electricity restoration and reoperation of hospital in normalcy.

After providing necessary supplies to the health care personnel, cash assistance was provided to the fire brigade members. Then, the Union Minister overviewed the health care services providing at the in-patient ward of the old 50-bed People’s Hospital building and fulfilled the requirements.

Next, the Union Minister and party oversaw the health care service rendering at flood relief camps opened at No.1 Basic Education High School (Tatkone) and NgweTaung Tawya Monastery and stressed on sufficient medical supplies, 24-hour health care services, personal hygiene and systematic throwing of wastes with health awareness as well as raising awareness of communicable diseases and timely transferring of the patients who need special treatment to the respective hospitals.

The Union Minister also provided emergency medical kit, water purification tablets and medicine as well as the cash assistance for the health care personnel.
