Flash Floods: Relief and rescue measures underway

Due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi and the storm in the Bay of Bengal, consecutive rainfall in Nay Pyi Taw Council area has caused the surge of rivers and creeks, inundating the wards and villages in Tatkone, Zeyathiri and Pobbathiri Townships.

Moreover, bridges were collapsed and some part of Yangon-Mandalay old road inundated. The local authorities evacuated the affected villagers while relief and rescue measures are in place. On Wednesday, Union Minister for Agriculture.
