PM calls for urgent action on flood control after Typhoon Yagi

Viet Nam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Bac Giang province to inspect flood control and rescue efforts, as many areas in the region have been submerged by the floodwaters.

He urged Bac Giang province's authorities to balance disaster recovery efforts with maintaining economic activity, especially in industrial zones in northern Viet Nam. He also visited Viet Yen where 9,000 flood affected residents caused by Typhoon Yagi. He also urged them to take proactive measures to ensure road safety, especially in areas prone to floods and landslides.
