Offering Gold Plates: 3,659 gold plates to offer at Uppatasanti Pagoda

Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw is under the process of offering gold plates at its first Turban Band.

On Sunday, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin visited the pagoda to oversee the work process. The third Turban Band of the pagoda has been offered gold plates in 2014 and the second Turban Band in 2019 with the contributions by the donors.

Currently, 3,659 gold plates are designated for the first Turban Band, covering an area of over 3,500 square feet. Out of these, 1,012 gold plates have been received through donations from well-wishers. The public is encouraged to contribute to this effort, as a donation ceremony is scheduled to take place during the second week of September.
