President Xi Jinping meets Burundian President

Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye is in Beijing to attend the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) which runs from Wednesday to Friday. The summit has outlined the future direction of China-Africa relations and injected new momentum into their joint pursuit of modernization, marking a new milestone in the history of China-Africa relations.

China and Burundi are brothers that stand shoulder to shoulder and share weal and woe, Chinese President Xi Jinping said in the meeting on Friday. The Burundian President also congratulated China on successfully hosting the 2024 FOCAC summit.
