France's Vendee region bids to make wastewater drinkeable

Due to droughts, which are worsening with the effects of climate change, France's western Vendee region is experiencing severe pressure on water resources. In a bid for solutions, public water utility, Vendée Eau, is experimenting with the re-use of treated wastewater for public consumption. Currently in the test phase, the plant plans to deliver its first glasses from the tap in 2025.
