Combating the Financing of Terrorism: CBM delegation attends the APJG’s Plenary Meeting

Myanmar delegation led by Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Daw Than Than Swe attended the Asia Pacific Joint Group – APJG’s plenary meeting and pre-meetings on the progress of Myanmar’s Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) held in Hong Kong of the People’s Republic of China from 3rd to 5th of September.

During the plenary meeting, the Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar clarified the Myanmar’s implementation on AML/CFT remaining actions in accordance with the recommendations of the APJG observers. The meetings also focused on the amendment of section 6 (d) and section 53 under Counter Terrorism Law at the end of September to take effective implementation on Countering the Financing of Terrorism.
