Cultural Cooperation: MORAC Union Minister meets Indian Ambassador

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

During the meeting, they frankly discussed promoting cooperation on religious affairs and cultural issues between the two countries, scholarship program, engaging for trainees to join the post-graduate diploma course, Museum Master Degree course, Information Technology (IT) and Computer Science.

The Union Minister expressed words of thanks to Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) which is carrying out the preservation measures for pagodas in Bagan, expecting the tasks to be completed during the set period in 2028.

Providing assistance to Indian delegations for visiting ancient cities and National museums in Myanmar, sending Myanmar Cultural dance troupe to India and promoting pilgrimage tour including Buddha Gaya were also discussed.
