Ensuring Data Accuracy: Upgrade of Central Voters List Management System

The Union Election Commission clarified the upgrade of Central Voters List Management System on Friday.

UEC Chairman U Ko Ko discussed the crucial role of voters list accuracy for successful holding of the election in practicing the genuine, disciplined multi-party democracy system. Taking lessons on the election frauds in 2020, the commission has paid special attention on accuracy of voters list and efforts have been made since 2021 with the use of computerized technology.

The Central Voters List Management System was jointly implemented by the UEC and the Ministry of Science and Technology, and conducted several trial runs. Training courses were also conducted for effective use of staff from region, state, district and township level election sub-commissions.

With the use of Admin and DEO Software, the Central Voters List Management System ensure smooth process in implementing voters lists and election data, ensuring its accuracy.
