Work Coordination Meeting: Import, storage, and distribution process of edible oil

A work coordination meeting on the import, storage, and distribution process of edible oil took place in Yangon on Sunday.

Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn attended the meeting and discussed that the ministry has set monthly distribution targets for regions and states based on edible oil imports. He urged concerned officials to ensure systematic distribution to consumers at the designated price.Representatives from the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers’ Association, and importers reported on the import, storage, and distribution of edible oil.

The Region and State Commerce Ministers discussed implementation measures, including the distribution of edible oil and actions against those selling at inflated prices.The Union Minister emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to ensure a systematic process throughout the supply chain to prevent high prices and ensure price stability.
