India Releases Biotechnology Policy

The Indian government has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative that aims to propel India to the forefront of the global biotechnology sector.

The new BioE3: Biotechnology for Economy, Employment, and Environment Policy was released by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, in Delhi on Saturday that promises to transform the nation’s manufacturing landscape.

According to Minister Singh, India’s bioeconomy has seen explosive growth, skyrocketing from $10 billion in 2014 to over $130 billion in 2024. With projections to reach $300 billion by 2030, the policy aims to further boost this momentum.
