



The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Development Association (AIBD) will host the 19th Asia Media Summit and its associated meetings from September 1st to 5th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Under the theme "Media: The New Odyssey," the summit will address global shifts in media and broadcasting, AI advancements and collaborative efforts for media improvements. These topics will be explored by communications and information ministers from the Asia-Pacific region, along with governmental representatives, media decision-makers, academic personnel and media experts.
The Myanmar delegation, led by Director General of Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) U Ye Naing departed Yangon on Saturday to attend the summit. Prior to the summit, the Myanmar delegation will engage in 10 workshops covering topics such as combating fake news and disinformation, promoting media awareness, developing media strategies in support for vulnerable groups, leveraging AI in newsrooms, and exploring 5G trends for 4K broadcasting while also discussing Myanmar’s media activities and experiences.
The Asia Media Summit is a premier event that serves as a crucial platform for media professionals to network, exchange insights and explore the future of broadcasting in the Asia-Pacific region.
