Meeting on Conveying Buddha Images: Shan State Chief Minister supplicates religious matters

On 28th August, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung accompanied by concerned officials paid homage to Inlay Phaung Daw Oo Buddha Images and donated flowers, water and gold foils to the Buddha images as well as the cash assistance in Thar Lay သာလေး village of Nyaung Shwe Township.

On the same day, a meeting on holding of the conveying ceremony of Inlay Phaung Daw Oo Buddha Images in Thadingyut, 1386 Myanmar Era was held.The meeting was inaugurated by the recitation of Namotasa three times by the congregation led by the Chief Minister.

Then, the congregation observed 5 precepts from the State Ovadacariya Maing Thout Sayadaw and listened to the paritta sutta delivered by the members of Sangha. During the meeting, the Chief Minister supplicated religious matters such as successfully holding of the conveying ceremony of the Phaung Daw Oo Buddha Images which is a Inlay traditional festival annually held in Thadingyut month.

The Chief Minister also encouraged the attendees to actively participate in making necessary preparations for the ceremony. Nex, the State Ovadacariya Maing Thout ayadaw delivered Ovada Kahta and the Chief Minister donated offertories to the Sayadaws and members of Sanga. After the ceremony, the Chief Minister donated rice bags to the State Ovadacariya Maing Thout Sayadaw.
