Seminar on Efficient Energy Use: MoI Union Minister attended via virtual system

A seminar on broadening horizons of efficient Energy use of the pilot project for efficient Energy use in the food process industry implementing with Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2023) was held at the Hall of UMFCCI in Lammadaw Township of Yangon Region in the morning on 28th August with the attendance of Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than through virtual system from the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

First, the Union Minister expressed gratitude on behalf of the country to the Mekong-Lancang Regional Development Cooperation Program of the People’s Republic of China for its long-term assistance for the projects and organizing this seminar and elaborated about the seminar saying that in the seminar, the technologies for efficient Energy use will be shared for most food process industries.

The Ministry of Industry is the focal Ministry for the nationwide efficient Energy use measures and the national level efficient Energy use and regulating policy, strategy and action plan was drafted and promulgated in 2016. The technologies for efficient Energy use for most food process industries in Yangon will be shared through seminar and the related field professionals will discuss the technologies for efficient Energy use and information of food process industry.

Next, the Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Industrial Collaboration, representatives from national level consultant, Myanmar Food Processors and Exporters Association and Myanmar Engineering Society discussed the perspectives related to the efficient Energy use and the participants raised questions, gave suggested discussions and conducted setting the methods for the implementation of efficient Energy use, it’s learnt.
