Awareness Seminar: Efforts to emerge clean government and good governance

An awareness seminar on anti-corruption was held at the Ministry of Planning and Finance in Nay Pyi Taw on 28th August.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein stressed that corruption is one of the biggest challenges to overcome in order to develop the nation’s governance, legal, politics, economic and social sectors. He added that the corruption preventive measures must be undertaken as a nation’s duty to implement the clean government and good governance.

Next, the sector-wise discussions on the causes and disadvantages of the corruption and its preventive measures, the anti-corruption law and investigation sector were made.

After the seminar, member of the Anti-Corruption Commission U Maung Maung Tint met with the members of the Corruption Prevention Unit- CPU and discussed matters related to experiences and difficulties encountered while conducting corruption preventive measures.
