






An awarding ceremony for Myanmar Cyber Security Challenge 2024 and University level Cyber Security Awareness Video Contest was held at the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya TunOo delivered a speech during the event. This was followed by a screening of the winning videos from the University-Level Cyber Security AwarenessVideo Contest. The Deputy Prime Minister then proceeded to present the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and consolation prizes to the respective winners and judges.
The first-prize video from the Cyber Security Awareness Video Contest will represent Myanmar in the ASEAN-Japan Cyber Security Awareness Video Competition 2024, organized by Cyber Security Brunei.
The Myanmar Cyber Security Challenge featured 25 teams representing the Defense Services Technological Academy, technological and computer universities, and government technical institutes across various regions and states.
The U_SH3LL team won first place, followed by mm_cyb3r_s4g3 in second, and Cryptoknights in third. Awards were presented to the winners by officials from the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Myanmar Cyber Security Challenge has been an annual event since its launch in 2015.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the competition was suspended in 2020 and 2021 but resumed successfully in 2022. The 2024 event marked the 8th edition of the competition and winners will earn the opportunity to represent Myanmar in cyber-security contests across ASEAN countries.
