Opening of reciting scripture: MDY Region CM attended the opening ceremony

Organized by Mandalay Region Government, the opening ceremony of reciting Uppadasanti scripture was held at Gandakuti hall of the Tooth Relic pagoda on Mahadhammramsi hill of Amarapura Township in the morning on 22nd August and attended by members of Sangha, Mandalay Region Government Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Region Ministers and officials.

The congregation led by the region Chief minister observed five precepts and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha and offered the cash donation.

The Uppadasanti scripture will be recited by 10 reciting members of Sangha in rotation for 10 days.

Then, the Chief Minister oversaw the cleaning task by MCDC at the precinct of Tooth Relic Pagoda, it’s reported.
