Providing agricultural inputs: Sagaing Region CM provided agricultural inputs in Homalin

The event of providing rice seeds and agricultural inputs for the farmers on the losses of monsoon paddy due to the flood in Homalin District of Sagaing Region was held at the Township Hall of Homalin in the morning on 21st August and attended by Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, Region Government members, Commander of Homalin station and officials.

First, the region Chief minister said the Region Government to cooperate with the responsible officials to provide monsoon rice seeds and agricultural inputs and urged the farmers to put effort to achieve the target yielding rate.

Next, the Region head officer of Agriculture Department clarified the status of effects on the monsoon rice plantation in Homalin District and the Chief Minister and Region Government members provided rice seeds, fertilizers, pesticide containers and rice seeders and greeted the farmers.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials attended the demonstration of direct plantation of seeds with hand-held seeders and cordially greeted the farmers.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials attended the event of school library development and raising reading habit festival, opened the festival by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and gave an opening speech. 

After awarding the cash prizes to the outstanding students and cordially greeted the attendees.

Then, the Chief Minister and officials encouraged the students who were reading in the school library and inspected the systematic keeping the books and journals in the library, viewed the students’ roundtable discussion, contests of quiz, impromptu talk, painting, essay writing, books display by MPRD and fun fair and awarded the prize winners together with the officials.
