Meeting of NSPNC and WGPP: NSPNC held meeting with Working Group of Political Parties

The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) met with the Working Group of Political Parties at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Centre in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 21st August.

Union Minister of Border Affairs NSPNC Chairman Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, along with committee members, Dr. Aye Maung, leader of the political parties working group, and representatives from the working group attended the meeting. At the meeting, NSPNC Chairman Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and Dr. Aye Maung delivered opening remarks. Lt-Gen Min Naing, Secretary of the NSPNC, then outlined the agenda for the meeting.

The political parties’ working group proposed discussion points and member of the NSPNC Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein put forward the points to be discussed by NSPNC. Then, both sides discussed the remaining points from the first meeting and the proposals submitted by both sides regarding with the points to be amended and added from the Constitution (2008). The meeting adjourned for the day and will continue on 22nd August.
