




Anti-Money Laundering Central Board held its meeting 1/2024 at Areindamar Hall of Myanmar Police Force Headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.
Member of the State Administration Council, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae in his capacity as the Chairman of Anti-Money Laundering Central Board made a speech, saying that in October 2022, Myanmar listed in the High Risk Jurisdictions Subject to a Call for Action by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
According to the press release by the AFTF Plenary Meeting hosted in Singapore on the 28th of June, 2024, Myanmar remains on the list of countries subject to a call for action.
The Union Minister stressed that it is necessary to implement the facts that are outlined in the Action Plan as quick as possible to witness the country’s improvement before October 2024. The attendees later discussed the current working processes of respective sectors and future plans. The meeting also adopted the draft of National Level Stretagic Plan (2024-2028).
