






Under the guidance of Bago Region Government, Farmer Development Training Course 2/2024 was conducted at Zee Oak Farmer Academy in Pyay Township on Tuesday.
The opening was held with the attendance of Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win. The Chief Minister said the training course is opened with the aims for the development of socio-economic life of farmers and the training will be conducted in both practically and theoretically on agricultural and livestock breeding sectors.
After completion of the training, the farmers are urged to practically apply the knowledge and technology that were conducted at the training and to share their knowledge to the local farmers at their respective places. The trainee farmers were provided with variety of vegetable seeds.
40 local farmers from Pyay and Nattalin districts are attending the Farmer Development Training Course 2/2024. In the afternoon, the Chief Minister made ground survey on monsoon paddy plantation at Min Gone village-tract in Shwe Taung Township and coordinated the requirement on planting of short duration paddy for high yielding.
After inspecting the monsoon paddy plantation at No.421 farm in Gyo Gone village-tract in Shwe Taung Township, the Chief Minister and party met with local farmers and coordinated the requirement to meet target yields, utilizing natural fertilizer.
Due to raising water level of Ayeyawaddy River and heavy rain, over 12,200 acres of farmlands were flooded and over 10,000 acres of monsoon crops including monsoon paddy were destroyed in Shwe Taung Township. Provisions of seeds, saplings and agricultural equipment were made in timely manner. Then, the Chief Minister wrapped up his tour by inspecting Nat Hmaw နတ်မှော် Water Pumping Station at Shwe Taung Township.
