Inspection tour: MoHT DM inspected potentials of border tourism

The Deputy Minister for Hotel and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe together with Shan State Minister for Economic Affairs U Khun Thein Maung toured to Wanpon International Inland Port near Wanpon Model Village, viewed round the status for the implementation of Myanmar-Lao-Thai triple border crossing tourism industry develoopment, heard the clarification of departmental officials regarding with the conditions of their work implementation and the collaboration for the development of tourism industry and gave necessary instruction.

Next, the Deputy Minister and party also toured along the Mekong River by a ship and studied the potentials for developing domestic leisure travel and the river cruises along the golden triangle borders.

Then, the Deputy Minister and party visited Golden Triangle Paradise Resort Hotel, inspected the arrangements for construction of retaining wall to prevent Mekong River erosion in the compound of hotel and heard the clarification for the protection works of Mekong river bank erosion at Myanmar side and gave necessary instruction.
