Chinese Premier Li Qiang meets with Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka

Chinese Premier Li Qiang held talks with Fijian Prime Minister Rabuka in Beijing on Sunday. At the talks, Li pointed out that Fiji is the first Pacific island country to establish diplomatic ties with China.

China is willing to import more quality products from Fiji and supports investment by Chinese enterprises in Fiji.

In return, Rabuka said that Fiji is willing to deepen cooperation with China, promote cooperation between Pacific island countries and China, and open up new and broad prospects for the Fiji-China partnership.After the talks, a number of bilateral cooperation documents on trade and infrastructure construction were then signed.
