Work coordination meeting: Supreme Court of Union held a coordination meeting

The 27th work coordination meeting between the Supreme Court of Union and the Regions and States High Courts was held through Video Conference System at the Supreme Court of Union in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 19th August and the Chief Justice of the Union U Thar Htay delivered an opening remark.

In his opening remark, the Chief Justice of the Union U Thar Htay said that the courts need to put effort for the interrogation of the cases and passing judgment correctly and quickly without delay, it’s needed to impose effective punishment on the offenders who committed the serious crimes in the society such as rape and murder, as the Court-led mediation system is settled the cases within a short time, it facilitates the correct and quick legal settlement of civil cases, so, collective effort is required for more development of Court-led mediation system etc.

The meeting is being attended by the judges of the Supreme Court of the Union, Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Directors in person and the Chief Justice and judicial officer of the Regions and States High Courts attended through Video Conference System. The meeting will be held from 19th to 20th August, it’s learnt.
