Prize awarding ceremony: YGN YMBA organized the ceremony

Organized by Yangon Region Young Men Buddhist Association (YMBA), the prize awarding ceremony for the students who passed the 74th examination of 38 Blessings and the Chronicle of Buddha was held at YMBA Hall at the precinct of Shwedagon pagoda in the morning on 18th August.

The ceremony was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Region Government members, Chairman of Central YMBA and executive Committee members, special guests, prize winer students, teaches, well-wishers and officials concerned.

First, the Chief Minister and Region Government members, Chairman of Central YMBA and officials concerned opened the ceremony reciting “Namo Tassa” three time and the students from No (14) Basic Middle School of Mingalardon Township recited 38 blessings poems.

Next, the region Chief minister gave a remark.

Then, the region Chief minister (on behalf) of Yangon Region Government) presented cash donation and the Chairman of Yangon Region YMBA accepted the donation and returned the certificate of honor and clarified the purposes of organizing the prize awarding ceremony.

After that, Yangon Region Chief Minister and Region Government members, Chairman of Central YMBA and officials concerned presented prizes of honor to the students who passed the 74th examination of 38 Blessings and the Chronicle of Buddha and those who contributed for organizing the ceremony were given the certificate of honor. The examination this year was sat for by over 1,700 students at 34 examinations in 11 townships, it’s reported.
