China Promote Green and Low-Carbon Development

China has been putting more efforts to promote green and low-carbon development in 2024. The country’s green energy supply system has been forming faster. By the end of June, its installed renewable power capacity has surpassed 1.65 billion kilowatts, taking up 53.8 percent of the total.

The installed capacity of wind and photovoltaic power exceeded that of coal power. Local authorities also have rolled out plenty of green transition policies. In addition, China has established the world’s biggest and most complete new energy industrial chain, with increasing resources utilization efficiency. Green and low-carbon related market mechanisms have been improved as well.
