ASEAN-China Forum: Seminar on Peaceful Use of Nuclear Technology

On 16th August, Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin together with the Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw attended a Seminar on ASEAN-China Forum for Peaceful Use of Nuclear Technology in Bangkok, Thailand.

The forum was inaugurated with the opening remarks of the Vice Chairman of China Atomic Energy Authority Mr. Liu Jing. This was followed by the sector-wise discussions of the experts.

During the forum, Union Ministers U Ko Ko Lwin and Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Atomic Energy Authority Vice Chairman Mr. Liu Jing and China National Nuclear Cooperation Vice Chairman Mr. Zhang Kai exchanged views on matters pertaining to China’s assistance in peaceful uses of nuclear energy and human resource development.

In the evening, the Union Ministers attended the honorary dinner hosted by China Atomic Energy Authority. Later, the Union Ministers made a tour to gallery displayed by China National Nuclear Cooperation.
