World Breastfeeding Week: Commemorative event held in Bago Region

Bago Region marked the ceremony for 2024 World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Promotion Week on August 16th.

Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win made a speech, calling for cooperation of all concerned persons in implementing the school health activities for the emergence of the intellectual youths in the future. This was followed by presentation of prices to the winners of commemorative essay competitions.

During the ceremony, a video clips on the World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Promotion Week and School Health Activities were screened. The Chief Minister and attendees later took a tour of demonstration booths on school health activities. Moreover, nutrition pills were provided to the children under five years of age and pregnant mothers and breastfed mothers.
