UN urges Brazil to do more to address racism and sexism

After having visited Brazil for a week and a half, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia, Ashwini K.P., gave a press conference.

Her report outlines the systemic racism experienced by minorities and ethnic groups in Brazil, emphasized the need for urgent action. She said it is alarming by the presence of neo-Nazi groups spreading hate speech, as well as reports of Islamophobia targeting migrants".
