Enactment of Law: Discussion on the Cyber Security Bill

A Coordination Meeting to finalize the Cyber Security Bill was held on Thursday morning at the Ministry of Legal Affair in Nay Pyi Taw.

Union Minister for Legal Affair and Union Attorney General Dr. Thidar Oo attended the meeting and gave an opening speech. Deputy Minister for Transport and Communication U Yee Mon discussed that the bill has been drafted for safety of cyber resources, important information infrastructures and electronic data.

It also aims to prevent cyber security threats, cyberattack and cyber abuse, while developing the cyber security services systematically, along with the effective investigation and prosecuting on the cybercrimes and supporting the growth of digital economy. With the assesment by the Union Minister that the Cyber Security Bill is a vital law, concerning with the policy, the attendees made discussion to finalize its enactment.
