Propagation of Sasana: Donation of Sixth Buddhist Synod Tri Pitakat Treatises

The Sixth Buddhist Synod Tri Pitakat Treatises were donated to Laos Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, at a ceremony held at Thatluang Sangha Nayaka Tipitaka Monastery in Vientiane on 11th August.

Aiming for the flourishing of Theravada Buddhism, promotion of friendly relations between the two countries and strengthening of bilateral cooperations, Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing donated the treatises.

First, Chairman of the Laos Sangha Nayaka Committee Most Ven Maha Bounma Simmaphom and the committee member Sayadaws recited prayers and shared the merits gained. Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win supplicated the purposes of the donation.

Next, the congregation led by the Union Minister donated the Sixth Buddhist Synod Tri Pitakat treatises and offertories to the Chairman of the Laos Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee and listened to the sermons delivered by the sayadaws.

After the ceremony, the congregation paid homage to the Buddha Images at the monastery and made a tour to the religious buildings. The Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister arrived back at Yangon International Airport in the evening, it’s learnt.
