East-West Friendship & Silk Road Rally

The participants of the 18th East-West Friendship and Silk Road Rally, supported by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have reached Mount Nemrut in Adiyaman Province, the fifth stop of the route within Türkiye. The contestants of the rally watched the sunrise at the summit of 2,206 metres.

Mount Nemrut is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and home to the 2,000-year-old Commagene Civilisation’s colossal statues depicting Greek and Iranian gods. The rally started on 4 August in Istanbul and is supposed to end on 30 August in Mongolia, crossing over Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and China. It includes 28 contestants from Türkiye, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Moldova with 12 vehicles.
