Trump hold election campaign rally in Atlanta

Former US President Donald Trump addressed a fully-packed venue in downtown Atlanta on Saturday.

Speaking to a crowd of thousands, Trump stressed the importance of his campaign winning the state of Georgia in November. Trump’s appearance in Atlanta is at the same venue Harris filled on Tuesday in her first Georgia rally since Biden’s dramatic withdrawal from the race and her ascension as the presumptive Democratic nominee.

On Friday, Harris secured the official Democratic nomination, backed by near unanimous party support. She is due imminently to announce her vice presidential pick, with the popular governor of key state Pennsylvania, a frontrunner. On Tuesday, she launches a countrywide tour with her running mate.
