Qatar's emir attends Friday prayer ahead of Haniyeh's funeral in Doha

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was buried in Qatar after his killing in Tehran. Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended Friday prayer in Doha, where thousands of worshippers then performed the funeral prayer for the Hamas Chief before his burial.

Haniyeh was laid to rest in Lusail, north of the capital Doha. Haniyeh, the Palestinian militant group's political chief, played a key role in negotiations for an end to nearly 10 months of war between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip.
