







Vice Chairman of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development Work Committee, Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than made inspection to MSME businesses in Mandalay Region on August 1st.
During the tour, they oversaw the weaving process using solar power energy in Shawlpin Village of Wundwin Township, as well as the operation process of No.8 Textile Factory (Pyawbwe), and No.8 Textile Factory Branch (Yamethin).
The inspection also includes the Foundry Shops in Kyini Village of Pyawbwe Township where the spare parts for the weaving machines have been produced.
The Ministry of Industry serves as the focal ministry for development of MSME businesses across the country, providing the needs of capital, technologies, human resources and market availability, in cooperation with the partner organizations.
For development of the industry based on cottons, the State Administration Council Chairman has provided guidance to produce quality textile and fabrics locally using domestic raw materials.
The ministry plans to produce quality cotton threads, as recommended by the industrial leaders, with the arrangements to grant the manageable businesses to purchase the thread produced by the ministry.
During the tour, the Union Minister and party also oversaw the process of hair threads for exports and the forgery for manufacturing various knives for farm and kitchen used.
