Putin congratulates Russians freed in prisoner swap

Russian President Vladimir Putin greeted Russian prisoners exchanged during swap as they returned to Vnukovo airport in Moscow.

Among others, Putin greeted Vadim Krasikov, an alleged FSB hitman, who was sentenced to life in prison in Germany for gunning down a former Chechen separatist in a Berlin Park in 2019. White House officials also said they and their counterparts in six countries freed 26 people on Thursday as part of the most complex prisoner exchange since the Cold War.
