Chief Executive John Lee meets top officials of Laos

Hong Kong’s Chief Executive John Lee on Monday met with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Laos as part of his six-day ASEAN tour. During the meeting, Lee stressed the city’s desire to join the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership economic bloc.

In the afternoon, Lee paid Lao’s Prime Minister a visit at his residence in Vientiane. Then, the delegation led by the Chief Executive visited a local high school, cordially met with the students and enjoyed the local folk dances performance by some of the youngsters. The Chief Executive will leave Laos for Cambodia on Tuesday.
