India’s FM calls on Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone

India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar called on Lao PDR Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on Saturday. He conveyed the warm greetings of India’s Prime Minister.

Both sides discussed further strengthening bilateral ties in various sectors, including development partnership and cooperation in defence, heritage conservation, energy, digital and capacity building between the two countries.

India's External Affairs said he values Siphandone’s guidance on further strengthening their close ties that are deeply rooted in shared civilizational connect. He also said India fully supports Lao PDR’s Chairmanship of the ASEAN & East Asia summit.
