Heads of State attend Sport for Sustainable Development Summit in Paris

French Minister of Foreign Affairs and French Sport Minister welcomed heads of state to the Sport for Sustainable Development (S4SD) summit organized at the Louvre in Paris, on the eve of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

At the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and IOC President Thomas Bach, the Summit brought together 500 participants – heads of state and government, heads of international organizations and public banks, members of the Olympic Movement and socially committed athletes, representatives of civil society and related officials.

The leaders agreed on commitments in the fields of education and employment, health and nutrition, equality, inclusion and sustainability, among other topics.
