Skills certification ceremony: NSSA held NLESCC in Yangon

National Skills Standards Authority (NSSA) held a national-level employment skills certification ceremony at the Skills Training Center (Yankin), Yangon on Monday.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Labor U Myint Naung and other relevant officials. At the ceremony, the Union Minister and officials presented national-level employment skills certificates. From 2014 to July 12, 2024, 267 skill assessment centers, 857 examiners, and 102 inspectors have been recognized as part of the skills assessment and recognition process.

Out of 29,203 candidates in 52 occupations, 26,790 have earned skill recognitions. Following the ceremony, the Union Minister and party inspected the opening of the Welding Training Course No. (3/2024) at the Skills Training Center in Yankin and heard the briefing on the details of the new training course, presented by Center in charge.

During the inspection, he gave instructions for expanding training courses in collaboration with the regional government to improve vocational opportunities for young people and provide decent jobs.

He then toured the training center. In the afternoon, the Union Minister and party proceeded to Workers' Hospital at Tarmwe Township, where they inspected the healthcare services for insured workers and the installation of medical equipment in the mobile medical unit.

He also reviewed the condition of patients undergoing treatment with four dialysis machines, provided cash assistance to kidney dialysis patients, and toured the outpatient department where insured workers were receiving treatment.
