Waso Robe offering ceremony: Taninthayi Region CM attended the ceremony

The Waso Robe offering ceremony organized by Taninthayi Region Government was held a Sasana Beikman in Dawei Township in the morning on 22nd July with the attendance of Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko.

First, the Chief Minister offered lotus robe, flowers, water, candle light, alms and fruits to the Budda image residing in Sasana Beikman.Next, the congregation led by the Chief Minister observed five precepts administered by Presiding Sayadaw of Gositarama Pali Takkatho monastery and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha.

Next, the Chief Minister U Myat Ko supplicated religious matters and the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of Region High Court, Region Ministers, Deputy Commander of Coastal Region Command and officials offered Waso Robe and offertories, took the sermon delivered by the Presiding Sayadaw of Zayyawadi monastery and shard the merits gained, it’s reported.
